Daniel Hudson - Superhigh (Deluxe Single)

21-year-old New York City-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Hudson has just unveiled his new 3-track deluxe single for "Superhigh", produced by Emil & Friends (Cantora Records, Kitsuné Records) and released on NYC independent label Joma Records.

While creating "Superhigh," he and Emil & Friends were influenced by the keyboard-based sounds of the 80s, such as The Talking Heads, Blondie and Prince, among others. (You can hear the influence of these same artists in Emil & Friends’ otherworldly, unique blend of electro, dance/pop and funk.) Modern inspirations for “Superhigh” also came from EDM, bass music and artists such as Phoenix, Skrillex, Daft Punk, Chromeo, Breakbot and Disclosure.

The 3-track deluxe single of "Superhigh" features the title track, an extended mix, plus a Acoustic Cafe Version of the song, produced and arranged by Daniel Hudson and John Maria. A complete departure from the electro-pop/dance versions of "Superhigh", the Acoustic Cafe Version is a mellow, live-tracked and unplugged performance inspired largely by other acclaimed singer/songwriters such as Jack Johnson and John Mayer.

"Superhigh" is available now on iTunes.

Also be sure to stay tuned for the video for "Superhigh", which will debut on YouTube on December 9th.
